[ARCHIVED] Police respond to morning robbery incident

Norfolk, Va. – Norfolk police responded to reports of a robbery that occurred at approximately 10:00 a.m. Thursday morning.

The preliminary investigation has revealed that three men were inside a vehicle in the 3500 block of White Chapel Road. Two passengers in the car implied a weapon and robbed the driver of personal items.

The driver was uninjured during the robbery and was able to run from the scene.

The two suspects initially fled from the area in the victim’s vehicle. However, responding officers located the unoccupied car a short distance away.

Surrounding schools were notified of the incident and were initially placed on a precautionary lockdown while police canvassed the area.

The suspects were not located during the canvass search of the surrounding neighborhood and area streets.

The suspects have been described as a Hispanic male and an African-American male in their late teens to early twenties.
