[ARCHIVED] Police identify man fatally shot on Kingston Avenue

NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk Police have confirmed the man shot to death on Saturday afternoon in Ocean View as Robert Reynold Knight III.

Shortly after 2 p.m., dispatchers received several calls for gunshots heard in the 1700 block of Kingston Avenue.

Once police arrived, they found Knight, of the 14000 block of McCabe Drive of Chester Virginia, inside the driver’s seat of a white minivan suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Paramedics rushed the 38-year-old man to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, but he died shortly after arriving.

Police are searching for a blue or grey small car with heavy front end damage believed to be involved in this deadly shooting. Police encourage anyone who sees this vehicle to call 911 immediately. Everyone in the car should be considered armed in dangerous.
