[ARCHIVED] Man dies at hospital after early morning shooting

NORFOLK, Va. – The man that was shot early this morning has died at the hospital.

Around 4:30 a.m. police were called to the 800 block of Fremont Street for a possible gunshot victim. When police arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Paramedics rushed him to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the exact cause of death.

Once the man’s next of kin are notified, his identity will be released.
