NORFOLK, Va. – Detectives are investigating a shooting incident that left one woman injured.
Norfolk police dispatchers were contacted shortly after 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening after shots were fired in the 1400 block of Goff Street.
Police arrived on scene to discover a woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Medics transported the woman to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where her injuries are considered non-life threatening.
The preliminary investigation has revealed multiple shots were fired into an occupied dwelling. The injured woman was inside the residence at the time of the shooting.
