[ARCHIVED] Man found shot in the Bayview section of the city

NORFOLK, Va. – Police are continuing to investigate a shooting that occurred in the Bayview section of the city early Tuesday morning.

Shortly after midnight, dispatch received a call for a gunshot victim in the 8600 block of Chesapeake Boulevard. When police arrived, they found a man lying on the ground with a life-threatening gunshot wound.

Paramedics rushed him to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he is in serious condition.
