[ARCHIVED] Police arrest suspect in connection with the Lindenwood Avenue homicide

NORFOLK, Va. – Shortly before 3:00 p.m. on April 13, 2016, police were dispatched to the 800 block of Lindenwood Avenue for gunshots heard in the area. When police arrived, they found 21-year old, Myquan McCloud near the roadway suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Through the police investigation, the suspect was positively identified as Malcolm Pittman a 26-year-old from Norfolk. Detectives secured warrants for 2nd Degree Murder and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony.

With the assistance of the Chesapeake Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, Pittman was arrested late last night in the City of Chesapeake without incident.

Pittman remains in the Norfolk City Jail, held without bond.
