[ARCHIVED] Police seek Crime Line tips after multiple vandalism reports

NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk police detectives are investigating reports of vandalism that occurred during the overnight hours.

As of Friday morning, eight separate incidents have been reported. Victims state they initially saw flat tires on their vehicles, but further inspection revealed the tires had been slashed.

Incidents of tire slashing has been reported at the following addresses:
-300 block Fairfax Avenue
-400 block Warren Crescent
-Memorial Place (Chrysler Museum)

Community Resource Officers were sent to the area and are currently reaching out to residents for awareness purposes and possible leads. Detectives have canvassed the surrounding neighborhoods to ensure all incidents are being reported.

Police believe these crimes occurred during the overnight hours, but have not released any suspect description.
