NORFOLK, Va. – Police have confirmed a second gunshot victim walked into an area hospital.
Following an evening shooting incident in the 6200 block of Alexander Street, police initially located a 12-year-old boy suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. As the preliminary investigation progressed, detectives were notified about a second victim.
The victim left the scene prior to police arrival and was taken by a private party to DePaul Medical Center for treatment.
After speaking with the man, police confirmed he was shot during the incident in the 6200 block of Alexander Street. The man's injuries are considered non-life threatening.

NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk detectives are investigating an evening shooting incident that left one hospitalized.
At 7:45 p.m., Norfolk dispatchers received reports of a possible gunshot victim in the 6200 block of Alexander Street. Officers immediately responded to the area and located what appears to be a 12-year-old juvenile suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The boy was alert and spoke with police prior to being transported to an area hospital. His injuries are considered non-life threatening at this time.
Norfolk police detectives are canvassing the neighborhood for possible leads, but have not released any suspect description.
