[ARCHIVED] Three people injured in two separate shootings

NORFOLK, Va. – Detectives in Norfolk are investigating two separate shootings Saturday night that left three people injured.

The first shooting was reported just after 10 pm. at Graydon Avenue and Colley Avenue.

When police arrived they found a 32-year-old man suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The man told police that while he was walking, two men approached him with guns and demanded money.

The suspects fled the area prior to police arrival.

The second shooting occurred about 40 minutes later in the 800 block of Freemont Street.

When police arrived they found two people, a teenager and a man suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

Three juveniles were taken into custody in connection with the double shooting, and charges are currently pending.

All three people who were shot were transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment.
