NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk police are searching for the man wanted in connection to an afternoon bank robbery on Hampton Boulevard.
Shortly before 4:00 p.m., a man walked into the Chartway Federal Credit Union located at 4702 Hampton Boulevard. The man demanded money from a teller through a written note. Once he obtained the money, he fled from the area on foot, traveling eastbound on W. 47th Street. It is unknown at this time whether the man left the area in a vehicle or remained on foot.
The man has been described as a white male, approximately 6’2” in height and weighing 230 pounds. He was last seen wearing a long black wig, a black hat with tape hiding the front logo, a black hooded sweatshirt, black gloves, black baggie pants, and dark-colored work boots. He appeared to be wearing multiple layers of clothing.
Norfolk police are asking for the public’s assistance as they investigate this bank robbery.
