[ARCHIVED] 2 people injured in shooting on West 28th Street

NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk Detectives are investigating a shooting Friday evening that left two men injured.

Shortly after 6:15 p.m., dispatchers received reports of a person who had been shot in the 100 block of West 28th Street.

When police arrived, they found a 29-year-old man outside suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The man was quickly taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment.

While police were on scene, a man in his 20’s arrived at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Detectives believe that both men were shot in the 100 block of West 28th Street. Both are expected to be ok.

Police have not released any suspect information at this time.
