NORFOLK, Va. – Police are investigating after a woman was killed in a three-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon on E. Little Creek Road.
The crash occurred in the 200 block shortly before 2 p.m. involving a Nissan Sentra, a Lexus and a Norfolk Public school bus.
There were no students on board the bus at the time of the crash.
Preliminary investigation reveals the Lexus was turning from the I-564 off ramp onto E. Little Creek Road and struck the bus and the Nissan which were heading west on E. Little Creek Road.
The woman driving the Lexus was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the school bus and the Nissan were not injured.
The woman’s identity will not be released until a proper Next-of-Kin notification is made.
The woman passenger of the Nissan was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
East Little Creek is currently closed, in both directions, between the 200 and 400 blocks as the Norfolk Police Traffic Fatality Team investigates.
Police estimate the road will be closed during the evening rush hour, and motorists should expect delays.
There is no further information available for release at this time.
