NORFOLK, Va. - Detectives with the Norfolk Police Department have announced the arrest of a man wanted in connection to the Timothy Avenue homicide.
On June 12, 2016, Norfolk police began investigating the homicide of 25-year-old Blake Scott, a Norfolk man who was shot in the 500 block of Timothy Avenue. Scott later died in the hospital as a result of his injuries.
During the course of the investigation, 26-year-old Dale London was identified as a suspect in the shooting. As a result of his positive identification, detectives secured charges for 2nd Degree Murder and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony.
On June 14, 2016, Norfolk officers took London into custody without further incident. He is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
As this case remains ongoing and pending litigation, the motive for the shooting is not available for public release.
