[ARCHIVED] It only takes a second..

Larcenies from Vehicles.jpg

Thieves can take valuables from your car in just a few seconds. For the month of June 2016, Norfolk police have responded to 378 reports of larcenies from vehicles. It only takes a second for you to help reduce your chance of becoming a larceny victim.

Remember to:

• ALWAYS hide your valuables. Remember, if something is in sight, it may take flight!
• Lock the doors, and roll up the windows, even if you plan to be away for a short time.
• Remove GPS, AND the GPS mounts.
• Hide ALL electronic cords and power sources.

The best advice in preventing your valuables from being stolen is NOT to leave anything in your car, or at least ensure all items are hidden.
