[ARCHIVED] Police investigating an undetermined death

NORFOLK, Va. – Detectives are investigating to determine the circumstances surrounding a death after a body was found in the Lafayette Park Monday morning.

Around 9:20 a.m., police were called to the 3500 block of Granby Street for a man lying on the ground unconscious and not breathing. Paramedic’s pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Detectives have classified this investigation as undetermined. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the exact cause of death.

The man’s identity will not be released until a proper next of kin notification is a made.
