[ARCHIVED] Police investigating fatal shooting on Avenue H


NORFOLK, Va. – Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting on Avenue H on Monday morning.

Shortly before 11 am, dispatchers received a report of a shooting in the 900 block of Avenue H.

When police arrived, they found a 50-year-old man lying in the roadway suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

The man’s name will not be released until his next of kin has been notified.
