[ARCHIVED] Man arrested in connection to fatal shooting on Greenleaf Drive

NORFOLK, Va. – Police make an arrest in fatal shooting that occurred over the weekend on Greenleaf Drive.

Shortly before 4:30 a.m. Saturday morning, Norfolk dispatchers received a call in reference to shots being heard in the 1800 block of Greenleaf Drive. Police responded to the scene and located a man lying outside suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The man was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he later died from his injuries. He has been identified as
43-year-old, George Ellison.

Through the course of the investigation, Malcolm Robinson, 25-years-old of Chesapeake was charged with 2nd degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

With the assistance of the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force, Robinson was tracked down and arrested yesterday around 12:30 p.m. in Norfolk without incident.

Robinson is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail without bond.

There is no further information available for release.
