[ARCHIVED] Police searching for suspect in fatal hit-and-crash

NORFOLK, Va. – Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the person who is responsible for a fatal hit-run-crash in Norfolk that occurred on Friday night.

Around 9:00 p.m. Norfolk Police received a 911 call that a pedestrian had been hit at the intersection of Tidewater Drive and Goff Street, and that the car had driven off.

The pedestrian was found unconscious in the roadway and was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

He has been identified as Dennis R. Brown, 61, of the 900 block of Goff Street.

Police are looking for a 2005-2008 dark colored Audi sedan, with damage to the front of the car on the driver’s side.
