[ARCHIVED] Woman arrested for fatal hit-and-run crash on Tidewater Drive

NORFOLK, Va. – Detectives have arrested a woman Saturday afternoon in connection with a hit-and-run crash that left a 61-year-old man dead Friday night.

Dennis R. Brown was struck on Tidewater Drive when he was walking away from his home on Goff Street around 9:00 p.m., and the vehicle that hit him, drove away. Brown was found unconscious in the roadway and was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

After searching the surrounding area Saturday for the hit-and-run vehicle, detectives located the car and have charged the driver with a felony hit-and-run.

Taneisha C. Bishop, 29, of the 1300 block of Marshall Avenue is currently in the Norfolk City Jail held with no bond. Once the booking process is complete, her booking photo will be available on the Norfolk City Jail website.
