[ARCHIVED] ODU student missing, police ask for public assistance

NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk Police and Old Dominion University Police are searching for a missing ODU student.

Shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2016, Matthew S. Choy was reported missing from his Norfolk residence. Information obtained suggests Matthew may be in crisis and possibly injured.

Matthew is a 22-year-old ODU student from Stafford, Virginia. He was last seen near his residence at the intersection of W. 49th Street and Killam Avenue. He is 5’10” in height and weighs approximately 125 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and is known to frequent the ODU campus and surrounding areas.

Anyone with information about Matthew or his location should contact 9-1-1 immediately.
