[ARCHIVED] Shooting inside a Norfolk McDonalds sends one to the hospital

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk detectives are investigating a shooting Saturday night that occurred inside a Norfolk McDonalds.

Around 11:30 p.m. police were called to the McDonalds located at 745 Newtown Road for a shooting.  Once police arrived they found a man in his twenties inside the restaurant suffering from a gunshot wound. He was quickly taken by paramedics to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with serious injuries.

The investigation reveals the man and another man were involved in a verbal argument when the shot was fired. The shooting suspect then fled the location prior to police arrival. He has been described as a black man wearing a black shirt and brown pants.

There were no other injuries reported.
