[ARCHIVED] Pedestrian struck by vehicle sustains life threatening injures
NORFOLK, Va. - A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
Around 6:45 a.m. police responded to the 1400 block of Tidewater Drive for a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.
The preliminary investigation reveals that a vehicle was traveling southbound on Tidewater Drive when an adult man attempted to cross the street at St. Julian Ave. and was struck by the car.
The pedestrian was transported by paramedics to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life threatening injuries. The driver of the car remained on scene.
