[ARCHIVED] Woman dies after being shot on Garren Avenue

NORFOLK, Va. – The woman shot on Garren Avenue succumbed to her injuries.

Charlene Ryals, 38-years-old, was found shortly before 8:40 p.m. Sunday suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Paramedics rushed Ryals to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where she later died from her injuries.

Detectives have not released any suspect description, but encourage anyone with any information about this deadly shooting to contact the Norfolk Crime Line at:

Woman shot on Garren Avenue in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. - A woman was transported to the hospital after being shot inside a residence on Garren Avenue. 

Around 8:40 p.m. dispatchers received a call for a possible gunshot victim in the 500 block of Garren Avenue. When police arrived they found an adult woman inside the residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. 

Paramedics transported the woman to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life threatening injuries. 

Norfolk police detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding this shooting and ask for anyone with information to contact the Norfolk Crime Line at:
