NORFOLK, VA. (NPD) – Detectives are asking the public’s assistance in identifying a vehicle that stuck a pedestrian on 35th Street at the beginning of December and then left the scene.

Shortly before 5:15 p.m. on December 6, 2016, police were called to the 700 block of 35th Street for a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian. When police arrived they found a 51-year-old man lying in the street suffering from serious injuries. He was quickly taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment.

Witnesses at the scene told police that a dark-colored Toyota Tundra was traveling eastbound on 35th Street, struck the pedestrian and then an unoccupied parked vehicle. The truck, with damage to its passenger side mirror, did not stop.

If anyone recognizes the truck in these photos, or knows anything about this incident, they are encouraged to call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
