NORFOLK, VA. (NPD) – Detectives are asking the public’s assistance in identifying a vehicle that stuck a pedestrian on 35th Street at the beginning of December and then left the scene.
Shortly before 5:15 p.m. on December 6, 2016, police were called to the 700 block of 35th Street for a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian. When police arrived they found a 51-year-old man lying in the street suffering from serious injuries. He was quickly taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment.
Witnesses at the scene told police that a dark-colored Toyota Tundra was traveling eastbound on 35th Street, struck the pedestrian and then an unoccupied parked vehicle. The truck, with damage to its passenger side mirror, did not stop.
