[ARCHIVED] Morning shooting leaves two hospitalized

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk police detectives remain on scene following an early-morning shooting incident that left two hospitalized.

At approximately 1:30 a.m., Norfolk dispatchers received a call for a gunshot disturbance in the 7900 block of Victory Drive. As officers responded to the location, the message was updated to a possible gunshot victim.

Officers arrived to the scene and discovered two people suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Medics transported the men to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. One victim is listed in stable condition and the other may have potentially life-threatening injuries.

The preliminary investigation indicates this was an isolated incident. At this time, detectives have not released any suspect description.
