NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Police need the public's assistance
locating a 9-year-old child who did not come home from school today.
Shaniyah Carter was last seen today at Coleman Place Elementary
School located at 2450 Rush Street around 3:30 p.m. During dismissal, Shaniyah left the school on
foot instead of getting onto her bus.
She was last seen wearing a tan jacket, burgundy shirt, and
carrying a blue and black camouflage backpack.
As police are actively looking for Shaniyah, they encourage
anyone who has seen her, or knows her whereabouts, to call police dispatchers
