[ARCHIVED] 12-year-old boy found shot on Goff Street, injuries not life threatening


NORFOLK, VA. (NPD) – A 12-year-old child is recovering in the hospital after he was found shot inside his home on Goff Street Thursday night.

Shortly before 11 p.m., police and paramedics responded to a gunshot disturbance call in the 1300 block of Goff Street.  When they arrived they found a 12-year-old child inside his home suffering from a gunshot wound.  He was quickly transported to Children’s Hospital for The King’s Daughters for treatment and is expected to be okay.

The investigation has revealed the child was inside his home when a shooting occurred outside in the parking lot adjacent to the residence. One bullet entered the residence and stuck the child. 

Detectives have not released any suspect description; however, they encourage anyone who may have seen, or heard anything regarding the shooting, to call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
