[ARCHIVED] Detectives arrest man in connection with Peronne Avenue homicide

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – A 20-year-old man is behind bars Wednesday afternoon, charged with the murder of Keith Moore on Peronne Avenue last week.

Lloyd E. Whitley, of the 2400 block of Lafayette Boulevard, was arrested without incident yesterday, and is being held in the Norfolk City Jail with no bond.

Whitley is accused of a homicide that occurred on April 13, 2017 in the 3100 block of Peronne Avenue.

Around 10:40 p.m., police and paramedics responded to the intersection of Peronne Avenue and Lafayette Boulevard for a gunshot disturbance.  When they arrived, they found Keith Moore suffering from a gunshot. 

Moore was quickly transported to the hospital, but died shortly after arriving.

Whitley has been charged with second degree murder and use of firearm in commission of a felony.
