[ARCHIVED] A double shooting leaves one-person dead

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) - Police are investigating a double shooting that has left one person dead.

At 8:20 p.m. dispatchers received multiple calls for gunshots heard in the 300 block of E. Olney Road. When police arrived, they found a 17-year-old young man and a 17-year-old young woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Both individuals were transported by paramedics to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. The young man was pronounced deceased at the hospital, while the young woman sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
