[ARCHIVED] Two people shot on West 38th Street in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) - Police are investigating a shooting that injured a toddler and an adult.

Late this afternoon at 4:45 p.m. dispatchers received a call for a possible gunshot victim in the 800 block of W. 38th Street. When police arrived, they discovered a young child and an adult woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. 

Paramedics transported the child to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters while the woman was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Both victims are considered to have sustained non-life threatening wounds.
