[ARCHIVED] Man wanted in connection with 5 business robberies

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk police detectives are searching for a man wanted in connection to five armed robberies to local convenience stores.

The five robberies have occurred in less than two weeks, and police are asking for the public’s assistance to help identify the man wanted in these violent felonies.

In all five of the robberies, the man walks into the convenience store armed with a gun and demands money from the store clerks. 

In the last incident on May 12, the man shot an employee during the robbery at Super China.  The employee was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening injury.  He is expected to be okay.

Police are attempting to identify the robber and describe him as a white or Hispanic man in his late 20’s to early 30’s, approximately 5’10” in height and weighing 190-200 pounds. In all the robberies, the man wore a black mask.

Thursday May 4, 2017 around 12:25 a.m. 7-Eleven, 7931 Halprin Drive

Thursday May 4, 2017 around 11:05 p.m. 7-Eleven, 1881 E. Ocean View Avenue

Monday May 8, 2017 around 11:05 p.m. 7-Eleven, 7431 Tidewater Drive

Wednesday May 10, 2017 around 12:15 a.m. 7-Eleven, 151 W. Little Creek Road

Friday May 12, 2017 around 11:05 p.m. Super China, 9553 Shore Drive
