NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – A 24-year-old man died overnight after being shot on Walker Avenue, marking the fourth homicide in Norfolk in less than a week.
Shortly after 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night, emergency crews were called to the 500 block of Walker Avenue for a report of a person who had been shot. When they arrived, they found Larry B. Williams Jr. outside suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Williams, of the 6900 block of East Tanners Creek Drive, was quickly rushed to the hospital, where he died.
Detectives have not released any motive, or suspect information regarding this incident.
Police have classified this shooting as a homicide, Norfolk’s 15th of the year.
Walker Avenue homicide is the fourth since Sunday. Na’teria Powell, 18, and Richard Eyerman, 23, were shot and killed on Sunday, and Pedro Cain, 24, was shot and killed on Tuesday.
Detectives arrested Lamontraye McAdams, 19, in connection with the death of Na’teria Powell, and five people in connection with the death of Pedro Cain.
