[ARCHIVED] Two injured in shooting Tuesday evening


NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – A 20-year-old man, and a 30-year-old woman suffered non-life threatening injuries following a shooting that occurred Tuesday evening.

The shooting happened around 8:25 p.m.

Police were called to the 500 block of East Brambleton Avenue for a report of a gunshot disturbance.  Once there, they found a 20-year-old man outside suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound.  He was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment.

The man told police that while walking on Brambleton Avenue he heard gunshots and realized he had been shot.

Shortly after police arrived, a 30-year-old woman called police and stated she received a graze wound while standing outside in the 700 block of Lincoln Street.  She was treated by medics at the scene for a non-life threatening injury.

Police have not released any motive or suspect description.
