[ARCHIVED] Double shooting sends a man and child to the hospital

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) - Police are investigating a double shooting that injured a child and a man on Nicholson Street.

Around 9:10 p.m. dispatchers received a call for a possible gunshot victim in the 200 block of Nicholson Street. When police arrived, they discovered a 7-year-old child and a 38-year-old man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. 

Paramedics transported the child to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters while the man was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Both victims are considered to have sustained non-life threatening injuries.
