[ARCHIVED] Norfolk police identify woman who was killed in Friday night’s hit-and-run

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Police have identified the woman that was killed in the fatal hit-and-run that occurred in Ocean View Friday night.

Pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run in Ocean View

Shortly before 10:30 p.m. police and paramedics responded to the 1400 block of East Ocean View Avenue for a hit-and-run. When emergency crews arrived, they found 54-year-old Erica Zankli, of the 1600 block of East Ocean View Avenue, lying in the street. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene. The vehicle that struck her fled the area.
