[ARCHIVED] Arrest made in Norfolk homicide


NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk police detectives have arrested a juvenile in relation to the shooting death of a Norfolk man.

On August 8, 2017, police responded to the 1400 block of N. Military Highway at the Days Inn Motel for a “shots fired” call for service.  Upon arrival, first responders located Anthony Sinclair (18) suffering from an apparent gunshot wound and pronounced him dead on scene.

Call for gunshot victim leads to homicide investigation

During the course of the investigation, detectives with the Norfolk Police Homicide Unit positively identified a suspect and secured charges against the juvenile in relation to Sinclair’s murder.

The juvenile was taken into police custody on August 30, 2017 without incident and faces one count each of second degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
