Norfolk is the first city in Virginia and the fourth city in the country to launch Pace.
Pace is a new dockless bike share service powered by Zagster, the nation’s leading provider of modern bike share programs. Pace allows riders to locate bikes with their smartphones, and rent and return bikes at any public bike rack or a Pace bike rack. The Pace model is supported through sponsorships and operated at zero cost to taxpayers. Current sponsors include:
- Downtown Norfolk Council
- Visit Norfolk
- Sentara Healthcare
- TRAFFIX – Service of Hampton Roads Transit
- IPConfigure, Inc.
- S.L. NUSBAUM Realty Co.
The bike share will debut at an official launch event in early April. During the launch event the bikes will become available to the public. More details to come.
