[ARCHIVED] Man charged with fatal shooting of January 3rd homicide

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives have charged a man in connection with the fatal shooting that occurred January 3, 2018 in the 400 block of E. Little Creek Road.  

Donovan Robinson, 24, has been charged with the shooting death of 44-year-old Lanxter Kuykendall.

Just before 6:10 p.m. on January 3, 2018, dispatch received multiple calls about a suspicious situation regarding a man lying on the ground in Denby Park.  When officers arrived, they found Kuykendall lying on the sidewalk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. 

Kuykendall, of the 400 block of E. Little Creek Road, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Robinson was indicted on second degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He is currently being held in a correctional facility in North Carolina and is awaiting extradition.

Detectives have not released the motive, circumstance, or relationship surrounding this deadly shooting incident.
