[ARCHIVED] Pedestrian dies after being hit by a car on W. Little Creek Road

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – A man dies after being struck by a car Tuesday afternoon on W. Little Creek Road.

Investigators say that a man was walking in or near the crosswalk in the 400 block W. Little Creek Road around 5:49 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle travelling in the westbound lanes. When first responders arrived, they found the man lying in the roadway.  He was quickly to taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment; however, he died shortly after arriving.  

The driver of the car stayed at the scene and was not injured.

Once the Norfolk Police Traffic Fatality Team completes their investigation, their findings will be turned over the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office for determination of charges.

There were no other vehicles involved and no other injuries were reported.
