[ARCHIVED] Armed man robs clerk in front of 7-Eleven

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) -- Norfolk detectives are searching for a suspect who robbed a 7-Eleven clerk around 5 a.m. Friday morning.

Detectives say the suspect approached the clerk in front of the store at 770 Boush Street and demanded money. The suspect then struck the clerk repeatedly on the head using his gun before fleeing the area. The clerk was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as black male in his late 20’s to early 30’s, 5’8” to 6” tall with facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, dark jeans, and light-colored sneakers.
