[ARCHIVED] Woman arrested for unlawful wounding on Shoop Avenue

NORFOLK, VA. (NPD) – Detectives have arrested a 24-year-old woman in connection with a crash that occurred on Shoop Avenue. Yesterday around 1:30 p.m. police responded to the 1900 block of Shoop Avenue for a motor vehicle accident involving pedestrians.

When emergency crews arrived they found two adults lying on the ground suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. Both adults were transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment and are expected to be okay.

As a result of the crash, Tajae Drew, of the 2800 block of Davis Street, was arrested on-scene and charged with reckless driving, two counts of unlawful wounding, and two counts of felony child neglect. Drew is being held at Norfolk City Jail without bond.
