[ARCHIVED] Husband arrested for death of wife on Wailes Avenue

On April 17, 2018 at approximately 10:25 a.m. Norfolk Police and Norfolk Fire-Rescue responded to the 6200 block of Wailes Avenue after the smell of smoke was detected at a residence.


Upon arrival, first responders entered the home and located 61-year-old Kathleen White-Grangruth deceased.


As a result of the investigation, 58-year-old Delano Grangruth, husband of the victim, has been charged with Arson and Murder.

Grangruth is being held at Norfolk City Jail without bond.
