NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk Police have arrested the third suspect wanted for the murder of Patrick M. Cochrane.
Just after 9:30 p.m. on March 1st, police responded to the 700 block of East Little Creek Road for a reported single vehicle crash. When police arrived, they found 25-year-old Patrick M. Cochrane, of Suffolk, inside the car suffering from a gunshot wound.
Cochrane was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he later died.
The investigation has revealed that Cochrane was initially shot in the 7900 block of Orchid Avenue and was found inside a vehicle in a parking lot in 700 of East Little Creek.
As a result of the investigation, Jeremy Harris, Becca Banta, and Thomas Nesmith have been charged with the following:
Harris, 27, of the 800 block of Pine Harbor Drive, has been charged with second degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and conspiracy.
Banta, 24, of Isle of Wight, has been charged with second degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, conspiracy, and accessory to murder.
Nesmith, 24 of the 7900 block of Orchid Avenue, has been charged with second degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and conspiracy.
Nesmith is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
