NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Police are investigating a homicide
after a man died at the hospital following a shooting Friday evening.
Around 9:45 p.m., dispatchers received a call for a gunshot disturbance in the 7900 block of Thompson Road. When police arrived, they found a man outside suffering from a gunshot wound.
The man was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, but died shortly afterward.
Detectives have not released any suspect information, motive, or circumstance surrounding this shooting; however, they ask anyone with information to contact the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or submit a tip through the P3Tips mobile app.
