NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) - A Portsmouth man has been arrested on charges stemming from a shooting that left one-person dead yesterday afternoon.
43-year-old Breon Daughtry was found shot inside an apartment in the 5500 block of E. Virginia Beach Blvd. on May 15, 2018 around 2:39 p.m. Daughtry was pronounced dead at the scene.
As a result of the investigation, Melvin Bazemore Jr., 20 was arrested and charged with concealing a dead body and obstruction of justice.
At this time Detectives are investigating this as an isolated incident and have not released the motive or circumstances surrounding this shooting.
Bazemore is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail with no bond.
