[ARCHIVED] Police charge a man after a woman dies at the hospital

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk police have charged a man with murder after a woman died at the hospital early this morning.

On Wednesday, June 13, 2018, around 3:20 a.m., police responded to the 5400 block of Cape Henry Avenue for an assault in progress. When officers arrived, they found 36-year-old Melissa Yuhas unresponsive outside the residence. Medics transported Yuhas to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where she died Thursday morning. 

Detectives arrested and charged Robert Anthony Colon, 34, with 2nd degree murder. Colon is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
