Investigators say the teenager was in or near the crosswalk at the intersection of Shoop and Peronne Avenue shortly before 8:00 p.m., when he was struck by a car. When first responders arrived, they found the teen lying in the roadway. Medics pronounced him deceased on scene.

The driver of the car stayed at the location and was not injured.
