[ARCHIVED] Police identify man killed on Melon Street

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Police have identified the man shot and killed last night as 42-year-old Kaliek L. Suber.

Shortly after 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11th dispatchers received a call about a gunshot disturbance in the vicinity of the 1500 block of Melon Street. Soon after, another call was received that two adult males walked into Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with gunshot wounds. One of the victims, Kaliek L. Suber, was pronounced deceased shortly after arriving. The other victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives have not released a motive or the circumstances surrounding this deadly shooting.
