[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Wawa robbery suspect wanted

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) -- Norfolk detectives are searching for the man who robbed a Norfolk Wawa around 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

Detectives say the suspect walked into the store located at 1146 N. Military Highway and requested to purchase two cartons of cigarettes. Once the clerk handed over the cigarettes, the suspect implied he had a weapon and demanded two more cartons.

The clerk complied and the suspect fled the location in a dark vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

Police ask anyone with information about the robbery to call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or submit a tip through the P3Tips mobile app.
